1. Where is this museum?

This museum is located in MyeongDong.

 

If you use the subway, you can walk up from Exit 5 of MyeongDong Station or Exit 7 of Cityhall Station.

 

It takes about 10 minutes on foot from MyeongDong Station or Cityhall Station.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 ~ 17:00.

 

Closed : Mondays, Labor day, Dec. 29 ~ Jan. 2, Election day, Lunar New Year holiday and Chuseok.

 

To visit on weekend and holiday, reservation is needed in advance : through our website, 30 min per 70 people.

2. Guide Tour Information

Explore the Korean money displayed at the museum with docent.

 

Tour lasts for 30 minutes

 

Each tour has a capacity of 30 people.

 

Tours are free but booking is needed. You can book through our website in advance. Also you can book at the information desk, if there is a capacity left. 

 

Individual Visitors : Available three times a day(11:00, 14:00 and 15:00)

Also, you can explore the Money Museum by yourself using Audio app “ Bank of Korea Money Museum”. Download via the App Store or Google Play Store. Then you can enjoy expert commentaries in two languages- Korean and English.

 

 

3. Rules of use

Matters to be observed when using the museum as follows.

 - Visitors with infants should take care of their children not to run or make loud noises.
 - Footwear with wheels, inline skates to prevent safety accidents. Kickboards are not available.
 - Pets other than guide dogs are not allowed to enter.
 - Food is prohibited, so please put the food you brought in in the storage box.
 - Please observe the following regarding the photo shoot.
 - You can't film inside the Han gallery.
 - You can't take pictures using flash or tripod outside the photo zone.
 - Filming for commercial use is prohibited.
 - When participating in the exhibition explanation, lower grades of elementary school (less than 3rd grade) can participate with their guardians.
 - Please contact your staff if you have any questions.
